DETERMINING REQUIREMENT COMPETENCIES

 
 
 

INTRODUCTION

Competencies refer to skills or knowledge that leads to superior performance. These are formed through an individual/organization’s knowledge, skills and abilities and provide a framework for distinguishing between poor performances through to exceptional performance. Competencies can apply at organizational, individual, team, occupational and functional levels.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
We use competency to obtain information about the employee and using the iceberg competency model we are able to obtain the information that is critical to determine to grasp a more accurate picture of the likely success of a new recruit.

CONTENTS
• Candidates will understand the meaning of competencies
• Learn how to measure competencies
• Understand some examples of competencies required by the employees
• Learn how to carry out competency human resource management based functions
• Be able to classy competencies ie, core, differentiating, threshold, functional and behavioral
• Understand how to use BARS to measure competencies
• Understand how to use BARS rating scales
• Understand the keys to functional job specifications
• Learn the various methods of functional analysis
• Learn how to analyse occupational information network
• Understand TTA
• Learn how to use quan competency framework
o TTA ( Manufacturing )
o Quan Comm ( Service )
